Hi Everyone,

What have I been up to the last couple of day? well in my previous post I did say I will be installing google analytics and social media symbols, which let me tell you I successfully managed to do in the end but only for google analytics :-0, well the problem I faced was with my ftp software which kept freezing and starting like an old banger…..  I did download the google analytics and a software called share this for my social network icons from wordpress and unzipped the files to upload it to my ftp software, I uploaded it to my host,the file was showing perfectly uploaded in the wp-content plugins folder but not showing in my dashboard:-(  strange so I messed around for a little while and thought I was wasting my time and the best solution was to jump on the forum of fortune 500 and cry for help! which I did, so luckily after making a new post on the forum shortly paula was online the master of techie stuff, Paula suggested I do it manually just install the code for google analytics at the footer.php just before the </body >, I then realised aha Deans e-book, so with the help of both, google analytic was installed successfully which I just checked and was relived to see the result’s,Thanks to Paula and Dean.

OK now that took me the whole evening, sometimes the time it takes just to do a couple of minor changes is unbelievable you just feel like quiting…. on the other hand I see it as a learning curve and practise make perfect, very important minset!

Next mission that needs to be accomplished are : adding the widgets for social media, driving traffic, sorting my ftp. and having the seo plugin installed. I think I should give myself a deadline which will be by Wednesday 31/01/09 so I am ready for the shining new year 2009.

p.s Thanks to all those who are contributing to helping me move forward, appreciate every minute as I do realise time is precious and everyone is busy with there own things. I think you guy’s give me that extra motivation!
