Day 2 of Official launch of my blog!
Hi everyone,
Only 1hr 30 min before module 4 all excited and probably worried, that I have only reached to this stage, there is still lots to do. I am surprised by having a nosy around at my fellow students blogs and really impressed with what I have seen.
If anyone can help me (HELP) as I need it seriously, I am not sure with a few things going through my mind.
A) Should i keep this theme? or change to a different one any suggestions….
B) If I use a lot of the widgets now, will I have to reinstall the widgets if I decide to change the theme?
C) How the hell have you guys got that much content on your sites? also you all have great theme’s and seems like you were born professional bloggers,…. well were you?
D) Also can anyone guide me where the icons or the symbols are?
It’s like being in the sea on a boat and drowning, there are people out there that now you are there, but just have not got round to getting to you. (well let’s see what hap pen’s):-) I wanted to put a smiley face but have not got round to learning where everything is and hey guess what I was told “better to be crappy rather than perfect” otherwise it will take a lot longer.
I think I need to polish on a lot of thing’s. Please do bare with me as practise makes perfect.
I guess guy’s I need to do a couple of thing’s before the show starts, by the way the show will be starting earlier tonight! I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in advance who will be participating and helping me get on to level 1, I know there is some good content for me out there to reasearch but I found asking the questions better and more efficient as the answers are straight to the point, Thanks again!
Mo

Hi Mo,
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Garry was having a few tech problems yesterday, but his site is up and ok now. If you still have problems, do the other steps on the list. You can see them on my blog. Let me know when you have done them and I can get you in the newsletter.
Will catch up with you properly when this completed!
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mo,
I came across your blog from a comment you left on Dan Briffa’s site so I thought I would come and visit.
As Mark above says, just do the steps on the list and you will be OK. Your theme is fine and you will be able to change it any time you want without loosing any of your plugins as long as you don’t choose a theme that was built for a much earlier version of wordpress which won’t allow some of the plugins to work.
My version of wordpress is months out of date but due to a technical problem with it, I can’t update it at present without loosing all my content, about 11 months worth in all…So don’t worry about it!
The content you write is what’s important…just do what you want to do!
If I can help in any direct way, please just contact me.
If you go over to my site at http://www.tednewman.name there are a lot of IM subjects covered in my previous posts and also a link to some FREE video tutorials all about setting up and running a wordpress blog.
Take your time, run at your own pace and do what you can…and if you can’t just ask for help and you will get it.
Cheers
Ted Newman
